In the last bunch of months, apart from both stepping up as co-chair for Education in SHN, and then stepping back (for too much conflict), mixing meditation and Jewish practice has continued as a theme. The sessions planned for, described below, went off without a hitch. Later, in a modest way, meditation was a small part of our high holiday program. Later again, Gideon asked if I'd be interested in offering a course touching on buddhist practice for an adult education offering at SHN, and I agreed. It's since been announced, and now I'm organizing notes for it. Tomorrow, our family will take the boys skiing, and I'll hope to give more time to this, as well.
Yesterday, I briefly explored the idea of setting up a web-site that might touch on this intersection: Judaism & Buddhism. JuBu is not available. But...many versions of somethign like: JudaismBuddhism.com apparently are available. I could do this with a fairly modest expense.
Where might this go? For right now...briefly...it is a contemplation.
